Safe Sport is a normal part of responsible coaching and a well-governed sport organization.
Our commitment
Safe Sport means creating a respectful environment where children, youth and adults can train and participate without abuse, harassment, bullying, discrimination or other maltreatment.
At True North Taekwondo, prevention comes first. Appropriate screening, training, supervision, clear expectations, respectful coaching and accessible ways to raise concerns all support participant wellbeing and accountability.
Something doesn’t feel right
You do not need to be certain that a policy has been violated before asking for help.
Participants, parents, guardians, volunteers and instructors are welcome to ask questions or raise a concern with TNT. We will listen, help clarify available options and explain which process may apply.
Independent support & reporting
Call, text, or email the Sask Sport Resource Line for confidential support and guidance. Online reporting through IntegrityCounts is a separate route.

True North Taekwondo is proud to gather, train, and serve our community in Treaty Six Territory and the homeland of the Métis. We recognize the Cree, Dene, Nakota Sioux, Saulteaux, and Métis peoples who have lived, learned, taught, played, and built community on these lands across generations.
For us, a land acknowledgement is more than a statement about where we train. It is a reminder of how we want to live and serve together. The tenets of Taekwondo—courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, and indomitable spirit—help guide that responsibility. Courtesy calls us to listen and treat others with respect. Integrity asks us to be honest about our shared history and accountable for our actions. Perseverance reminds us that reconciliation and relationship-building require ongoing effort. Self-control calls us to act thoughtfully and with humility. Indomitable spirit encourages us to stand against exclusion and work toward a community in which everyone has the opportunity to belong.
In the spirit of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action 87–91 on sport and reconciliation, we are committed to listening, learning, building respectful relationships, reducing barriers to participation, and creating a Taekwondo community in which Indigenous participants and families are welcomed, respected, and able to participate fully.
